About
I am a tenured Associate Professor of Economics in the IO Group at KU Leuven, where I teach Microeconomics and supervise PhD and master students. I am also affiliated with Sciences Po and CEPR. My research agenda involves understanding individual and firm incentives in (bidding) markets. Ultimately, with the aim to improve the organization of these markets and to advance public policy.
I specialize in the structural analysis of auction/procurement data. My research contains applications to public transportation, the allocation of airport take-off and landing slots, online platforms, and prison telecommunication services. Students interested in supervision for their (thesis) research on related topics are welcome to contact me.
At Sciences Po I taught the PhD-level course Empirical Industrial Organization at the Econ department (School of Research) and Competition Policy at the School of Management and Impact. At KU Leuven I taught Undergraduate Microeconomics (Markten en Prijzen), and I currently train master students on data analytics, empirical analysis, and transportation economics in a course called Markets & Policy.
Some initial information about my ERC Starting Grant (project APCAP, 2026-2031) can be found here, more details will follow!
